What are Old Coins?
Old Coins are a type of collectible item in Forspoken that are found all throughout Athia. You can acquire Old Coins from various locked chests or from hidden spots while out in the Break.
Used to Buy Crafting Books at Trading Spots
Old Coins can be spent to purchase rare crafting books at Trading Spots which allow you to add various beneficial effects to Gear (Cloaks and Necklaces). These buffs range from granting Frey’s equipment increased resistances to various status ailments to improved defense and critical hit rate.
Using Magic Parkour to Reach Old Coins
Some Old Coins may require Frey to use Magic Parkour to reach. Because of this, certain Coins may be inaccessible if you have not yet learned a specific spell or maneuver during the main story.
