What is Mana?

Mana is a type of collectible resource in Forspoken that is used to unlock and upgrade Frey’s magic spells. Having a wide selection of offensive, defensive, and support magic at your disposal gives Frey more options in battle and makes it easier for her to exploit the weaknesses of a variety of enemies encountered in Athia.

Because of this, it is important to take time farming Mana as you go through the game’ main story.

Ways to Earn Mana

Defeat enemies.

Forspoken - Defeating Enemies

Taking down enemies encountered will let you earn some Mana so simply going through the main story will likely net you a decent amount to acquire useful magic for the early stages. You will, however, need to turn to other sources if you want to max out Frey’s arsenal of spellcraft to challenge stronger enemies later in the game.

Forspoken Tips for Combat

Level up.

Mana is also rewarded each time Frey levels up in battle. Because of this, try to find a good spot to farm enemies for experience so you can gain levels and Mana faster.

You can also earn Mana by doing Flashback challenges that are unlocked at Tantas Monuments. The amount of Mana you get depends on how well you perform in these optional missions so try to do them repeatedly to get the best results.

You will also get useful crafting resources for clearing Flashbacks, making them well worth the effort to do throughout the main story.
