Which Difficulty Should You Start With?

Choose Default difficulty when playing for the first time.

It is generally recommended for beginners and even those with little to no experience with action games to play on Default. Doing so allows you to experience the standard level of exploration and combat throughout the main story. If you find the game too easy or too hard, simply adjust the difficulty from the game’s settings during play.

Note that you change the difficulty in the middle of combat or during specific events in the game.

Adjusting the Difficulty When Farming for Experience, Mana, or Materials

You can try to take advantage of the changeable difficulty when farming enemies for experience (EXP), Mana, or crafting resources. By playing on Easy mode, foes encountered become weaker so you can quickly dispatch them to speed up the grind at any point in the game.

Difficulty-Related Achievements

There are no difficulty-related trophies and achievements in the game so you can simply play through the main story on Easy to get 100% completion (Platinum).
