Betting at Chicken Races
Farm money at the Chicken Race Den by saving and reloading (if you lose money).
Unlock the Chicken Race Den by progressing to Chapter 3 of the main story.
One of the best ways to earn a lot of money fast is by betting at Chicken Races at the Chicken Race Den. To unlock the mini game, you must progress to Chapter 3 of the main story. Because of how easy it is earn a lot of money in Chicken Races by exploiting saves, try to advance the main story to gain access to the mini game as soon as possible.

Farm money to buy 3600 wooden betting tags (Kifuda).
It is recommended to prepare at least 36 Ryo to purchase 3600 wooden tags (kifuda) before entering the Chicken Race Den. Remember to save outside the den first before going inside and placing your bets. This way, you can reload your save if you lose all of your money through betting.
How to Earn 36 Ryo
To earn the recommended amount of Ryo, try doing a few of the available Substories unlocked in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. You can also try selling off items and materials you do not need at shops to raise enough money for this farming method.

At the Chicken Race Den, purchase 3600 wooden tags. Then, start betting on the chickens via the Dividend List and set your bet at 300 points each x 12 ways (Triple Exacta). If you bet wrong and lose all of your wooden tags, reload your save. If you win (preferably at least 10,800 points in winnings), bet on all 5 in the Chicken Race series. You will eventually be good enough to narrow the possible winners to two chickens in the race which will allow you to earn money faster.
Always place multiple bets instead of just one.
In general, you want to up your chances of winning as much as possible by covering as many permutations of the outcome of the Chicken Race. This strategy is the most efficient way of getting returns consistently through the save-reload exploit method. Avoid placing a single bet as the odds of winning and maximum returns are significantly lower.

Note that it is also possible to farm Virtues by also selling Platinum Plates. You gotta bet on the ones that have the highest condition and the best double circles. You can divide it up however so don’t worry you’ll still make a mint.
