Save before entering the arena.
Once you have farmed 36 Ryo, save your game outside the Chicken Race Arena. Then, go inside and buy 3600 Kifuda to start betting. Afterwards, place your bets by following the betting cycle below.
Betting Cycle
Start betting on the chickens via the Dividend List and set your bet at 300 points each x 12 ways (triplets). Try to get a total of at least 10,800 points in winnings. Then, use your accumulated points to bet on all 5 chickens in the series. After a few rounds, you will soon be able to tell the winner of the Chicken Race by being able to decide between just two Chickens in the series. This will allow you to earn money faster.
If you lose all your money in the Chicken Race, just reload your save and try again. Do this until you are satisfied with your winnings.

You can just buy spirit sake for 1/100 of the price to get double (600) virtue.

What does that even mean?
Don’t understant the whole chicken game at all.
“300 points x 12 ways”
Literally not idea what that means. In general I do not understand the chicken race at all.
