Game Overview

Halo Infinite - Game Overview

Halo Infinite is the sixth main entry in the critically-acclaimed Halo series. Following the events of Halo 5: Guardians released in 2015, players will once again take control of the super-soldier known as the Master Chief throughout the world of Zeta Halo during the game’s story campaign.

Campaign Mode

Halo Infinite - Campaign Mode

Halo Infinite features a single-player campaign mode spanning 14 missions across the world of Zeta Halo, the game’s main setting. Master Chief is once again called to save humanity as the nefarious alien faction called the Banished near their goal of capturing a new Halo ring called Installation 09, ultimately deciding the date of the galaxy.

Halo Infinite - Campaign Mode

Campaign mode features 14 main missions which roughly offers about a minimum of 8 hours to complete. Players will explore a semi-open world, battling their way against hordes of hostile aliens to eventually come face to face with the Banished’s new leader, the merciless War Chief Escharum.

Multiplayer Modes

Perhaps Halo Infinite’s most notable feature is the addition of a completely free-to-play multiplayer mode.  A rich number of game formats played in either Arena (4v4) or Big Team Battle (12v12) modes.

Arena

Halo Infinite - Arena Mode

Arena mode returns to offer the franchise’s classic team match type which pits two teams of four against each other in a variety of game formats. Equipment such as weapons, ammo, tools, and gadgets can be found scattered on the map, giving players constantly changing loadouts to gain the advantage during encounters.

Big Team Battle

Halo Infinite - Big Team Battle Mode

Big Team Battle mode, meanwhile, allows teams of 12 players each to mix and match various weapons, vehicles, and equipment for more intense action. Teams battle it out across larger maps which encourages better mobility by using vehicles to move around. As with Arena mode, Big Team Battle can be played through different game formats, including a selection of objective-focused modes.

New cosmetic items can also be obtained by playing through the game’s campaign mode, online multiplayer modes, or by purchasing a non-expiring Battle Pass.
