How to View the Multiplayer Game Mode Before the Match Starts in Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer mode allows players to queue for matches to clear Daily and Weekly Challenges to earn XP. Unfortunately, the game modes you will get to play after joining a lobby are currently random, making it somewhat time-consuming to meet specific objectives of Challenges you currently have active.

There is, however, a way to view the game mode of the lobby you joined before the match starts, allowing you to opt out if you do not want to play that mode. This makes it easier to level-up your Battle Pass to earn various rewards.

Steps to View Multiplayer Game Mode

Below are the steps to view what Multiplayer game mode the lobby you are in will play.

1 Go to Multiplayer from the game’s main menu.
2 Queue for a random match to find a lobby.
3 Wait for the queue bar at the bottom to turn blue (indicating that you have found a lobby).
4 Press TAB to open the Social menu.
5 View the Fireteam tab and check the game mode of the lobby you have joined.

If the game mode lobby you are currently connected to will not let you clear any of your Daily and Weekly Challenges, simply press F on the keyboard (or the X button if you are using an Xbox game pad) to leave the lobby.

There are currently no consequences or penalties for frequently leaving lobbies so feel free to exit the one you joined as many times as you want. Note, however, that many players will likely be using this method to clear their own Challenges so starting games may sometimes take a while.
