List of All Hidden Skulls

Below is a list of Skulls in the game, including each of their locations, and the effects they grant upon activating them. There are a total of 12 Hidden Skulls in the game which you can obtain at specific locations during missions or while exploring the open world.

Skull Location Effect
Boom Skull Mission 1: Warship Gbraakon – After reaching the room where you find a hologram projection of Escharum, move forward past several hallways until you arrive at a two-level room. Grappleshot up to the second level to find moving platforms lined up on the walls to your right. Get on the one in the middle and look to the right to find the Boom Skull on the hidden platform. Doubles explosion radius.
Cowbell Skull Mission 2: Foundations – Move past the elevator and the area with several ghosts until you reach a hallway marked by a large window directly in front of you.

Follow the path on your left and grappleshot up the top of the pillar closest to you on on your right. From where you land on, you should be able to scan the location of the next skull above (it is on a ledge way up the area). Look up to your left to see a part of the ledge sticking out that you can grapple up to, allowing you to grab the Cowbell Skull.

Increases acceleration from explosions.
Catch Skull Island (Open World) – Found in a tree stump near the edge of the northernmost island. Take out the Banished Hunters there to get the Catch Skull. Enemies use and drop more grenades.
Fog Skull Island (Open World) – Found west of Forward Operating Base (FOB) Alpha. Follow the path along the hexagon-shaped pillars by the side of the cliff until you come across a doll. Then, grappleshot across the gap ahead. From where you land, grappleshot again across another gap on your right. Keep moving higher up the pillars and you should spot an opening that leads to a room with the Fog Skull next to some broken pieces of armor. Disables motion tracker.
IWHBYD Skull Mission 4: Recovery & The Tower – Climb up all the way to the top of the tower either by using the Grappleshot with the Quickshot upgrade (grapple to the inner section of the roof of the tower and quickly turn and quickshot grapple to the outside to reach the top). Alternatively, you can simply fly on top of the area if you have unlocked the Wasp. Makes rare dialogue options more commonly heard.
Blind Skull Island (Open World) – South of the tower’s location is a cave which you can reach by flying a Wasp or Banshee to a ravine. Fly below the surface and use the scanner to guide you to the location of Blind Skull while on foot. Disables HUD and weapons.
Thunderstorm Skull Island (Open World) – The Thunderstorm Skull is found on top of a pillar to the east of the beacon located on the northernmost section. Travel to the beacon and use a flying vehicle to land near the top of the steep mountain. Then, look down below to spot the skull on top of the pillar. You can try to jump and land on top of the pillar to get it or quickshot grapple up if you miss. Upgrades the rank of most enemies.
Black Eye Skull Island (Open World) – From Forward Operating Base Kilo, follow the river east toward the waterfall. Then, face look a little to the right of about halfway of the waterfall and grappleshot on a point there. You should be able to discover a small opening behind the water. Go inside the cave to find the Black Eye Skull. Makes shield recharge occur only through melee attacks.
Famine Skull Island (Open World) – Found near an Elite corpse on a spot of land to the east of the easternmost beacon. Use a flying vehicle to easily travel to the area and grab the Famine Skull. Enemies’ dropped weapons have only half of their ammo reserves.
Mythic Skull Mission 11: The Command Spire – When you reach the area with pillars being flown into walls of golden energy, path move through the passages along the left side. When you finally reach the dead end where the pillars start to move to the right, face an incoming pillar and grappleshot to get on top of it. Then, turn around and grappleshot up the ledge above. From where you land, look above to find a section of the platform above sticking out. Grappleshot toward it and go through the door. Follow the hallway to another room to find the Mythic Skull. Enemies have increased health.
Grunt Birthday Party Skull Mission 12: Repository – Progress through the large area with the relay terminal in the middle. Then, use the terminal to activate the light bridge. Afterwards, ignore the door across the newly-formed bridge and use the grappleshot to reach another door (the one on the right). Follow the hallway until you find a room with the power seed ahead. Grab the power seed and head back out to the large room. From here, you will need to get the power seed to the door to the left of the relay terminal this time. Throw the power seed around across the gaps in the are until you are able to bring it to through the door to the left of the relay terminal. Follow the hallway to find a room where you can plan the power seed on the right corner of the room.

Once you have done this, continue with the mission until you reach an area with gold plating on either side of the north wall. Above the wall is an opening that you can reach by grappling up. Take out the enemies in the area and grab the Grunt Birthday Party Skull on the floor.

Headshotting grunts causes celebrations.
Bandana Skull Mission 15: Silent Auditorium – Do not take out any Sentinels on this mission and progress through the area until you reach the hallway that leads to the final elevator of the level. Instead of heading to the elevator at the very end, cross the bridge to the right and enter the room. Grappleshot up on the platform ahead to find the Bandana Skull. Grants infinite ammo and grenades, and removes cooldowns
