House of Reckoning
Locate and Rescue the Pilot (1)
1 | Move forward through the door to reach the control room and approach Escharum’s hologram. |
---|---|
2 | Afterwards, pick up the Skewer on the right and exit through the door. |
3 | Follow the mission marker down to the training area. To the edge of the middle sandbagged platform is a UNSC Audio log that you can pick up. |
Survive Basic Training – Exit Training Room
1 | Take out the enemies that appear in the area. |
---|---|
2 | You can try to pick off the Banished that come out in the open by sniping them from the perimeter (second level). You can also use the fusion coils near the middle sand platform to help you take out the Elites. |
3 | After clearing out the enemies, follow the mission marker to the exit. Follow the straight path past another hologram of Escharum. |
4 | Afterwards, move forward to the elevator and activate it using the terminal to go up. |
5 | Follow the mission marker again to another control room with another hologram of Escharum. |
6 | Go up to the second level to activate advanced training. |
Complete Advanced Training
1 | Head to the training area and quickly restock on weapons and ammo for the upcoming wave. |
---|---|
2 | Take out the Banished that appear. The strategy to clear them out is largely the same as that in basic training. Try to stay in upper level perimeter to give you a good vantage point of enemies in the open. Afterwards, mop up the remaining Banished with the help of fusion coils in the area. |
3 | Two Red Hunters will also appear in the training area. Equip a strong weapon (preferably the Skewer) and try to get behind them while moving from cover to cover. Expect a long and drawn out battle as they have massive health. |
Locate and Rescue the Pilot (2)
1 | After clearing out the enemies, continue toward the mission marker to exit the training area. |
---|---|
2 | Listen to another hologram of Escharum. Then, head to the elevator ahead and go up. |
3 | Go inside the control room and listen to Escharum’s hologram again. Then, follow the mission marker to the lower area. Next to the table on the right is a Banished Audio Log. Afterwards, take the time to restock weapons found nearby. |
4 | When you are ready, grappleshot to the bunker ahead and pick up the device on the ground. |
5 | Watch the cutscene. Afterwards, prepare to battle Jega ‘Rdomnai. |
Survive. Just Survive.
1 | As with Chak ‘Lok, Jega will constantly disorient you with his constant cloaking so using the Threat Sensor is almost essential for this fight. Try to have a Pulse Carbine or any plasma weapon as your primary gun and switching out to something like the Bulldog Shotgun when Jega gets close. |
---|---|
2 | You can anticipate where Jega will emerge (he will constantly disappear and relocate to ambush you from the lit areas around the enclosed area) with the help of the Threat Sensor. Head to the second floor and stand on the spot that gives you easy access to the top floor. Stand with your back against the wall and set the Threat Sensor. |
3 | Jega will usually appear from the left or right side of the room. Use the shock coils nearby to throw them at the boss when he jumps down toward you and pepper him with your plasma weapon to deplete his shield. Switch to the Bulldog Shotgun to take out a good chunk of his health. |
4 | Jega can quickly deal massive amounts of damage if you let him get close enough to use his energy swords. Move away using the grappelshot or thruster and relocate to another area if you are cornered. |
5 | After defeating Jega, follow the mission marker to the next area. |
Locate and Rescue the Pilot (3)
1 | After finding another hologram of Escharum, head toward the elevator to go up. |
---|---|
2 | Approach the Pilot and interact with the terminal for a cutscene. |
3 | Prepare to battle Escharum. |
Defeat Escharum
1 | The fight against the Banished war chief goes through three lengthy phases, each with its own gimmicks and strategies to defeat the boss. Visit our Escharum boss guide for an in-depth walkthrough on how to beat him. |
---|---|
2 | Watch the cutscene afterwards. |
