The Harbinger Strategies
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:
Clear two waves of Banished
Start the first phase of the battle by killing a few Banished. Make use of grenades to clear them faster. They will appear from doors on the higher and lower platforms.
Use Grappleshot to recover and recharge shields.
Use your Grappleshot to hang on walls or reach elevated spots in order to recover from damage. Continue eliminating the Banished after you recovered.
Shoot the Electric Orb
The boss will teleport from one spot to another. Then, it will shop when it is about to use its Electric Orb. Shoot the orb instead of evading it in order to prevent your shield to get nullified immediately.
Evade the Swipe Attacks
Jump backward when the boss got close to you. It will use its swipe attack.
Use your Sentinel Beam to remove the shield
Shift to your Sentinel Beam weapon to deplete the shield bar of the boss.
Deal damage using Cindershot
Switch back to your Cindershot to deal damage to the boss.
Clear the three waves Banished
In the second phase, three more waves of Banished will emerge. Your best weapon option is to use the Sentinel Beam while switching back to your secondary weapon.
If you see new Banished enemies emerging from blue doors, make use of Shock coils and grenades to clear enemies faster.
Focus your attention on the boss
After clearing the waves, the golden barrier will dissipate, The Harbinger will be quicker and use more orbs against you. Instead of using a Grappleshot, switch your Thruster and move sideways instead.
Keep using your Sentinel Beam and don’t waste your explosives on the boss.
Clear the last wave of Banished
The last phase will switch back to waves of enemies again. Focus on weak enemies first and make the Brute Chieftain your last priority. In order to clear them faster, lure the enemies near a Hard Light coil and detonate it
Use the Grappleshot to move between the lower and higher level and hit the Brute Chieftain from a distance.
Use Drop Wall and take cover under the ramp
The Harbinger will use more obs against you. What you can do is to set up a Drop Wall on one side of the ramp to take cover from the orbs. Shoot the boss with a Sentinel Beam while stationed under a ramp.
If the boss is getting close, move away and reset your position and method until the boss is finished.
