Hyperius Boss Strategies
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:
Target and destroy the Brute Chopper
Start the battle by eliminating Hyperius first. Takedown the Brute Chopper by throwing coils initially. We suggest picking up a SPNKR Rocket Launcher from the ridge northeast.
Lure the boss to the west side
Drag the standoff against the boss to the west side of the area. This area is surrounded by rocks and treelines that will serve as cover from enemy fire or when you reload ammo.
It is also easier to go to this area since you can access weapons and ammo.
Find checkpoints to recover
If you’re low on health, especially in Legendary mode, get away from the line of fire and reach the southwest edge of the area. Stay around the ship graveyard near the water and it can force a checkpoint for you.
Don’t go too far or else it will force a reset.
Target the shield
Drain the shield of the boss using Plasma weapons. Use the Pulse Carbine and shoot a few bursts to diminish the shield bar of the boss.
Use the Grappleshot or Thruster to move around
Make use of the grappleshot to scale forward within the area. This will help you evade and grab other weapons or gear quicker.
As for the Thruster, use it to dash sideways or back while taking cover.
Switch to a Power weapon
Once the shields are gone, switch to a Power weapon to finish off the boss. Pick up weapons from the dead brutes and use them in combination with your weapon.
Tovarus Boss Strategies
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:
Use Plasma Weapons
Drain the shield of the boss from a distance using a Sentinel Beam or any Plasma weapon. Throw in grenades as well to add damage.
Tovarus will enter the broken ship located on the east. Then, the boss will appear on a platform located on the west side. Follow him and take note of the Rocket Launcher and Hydra in a room.
Use the Drop Wall
After the boss moves to the west platform, continue taking down the shields from afar. This time, use the Drop Wall to manage the line of fire of the Scrap Cannon.
Use Kinetic or Power Weapons
Once the shields are broken, use a Sniper Rifle or Skewer to damage the boss from a distance. The boss will jump from one platform and continue doing damage. You can pick up the Hydra if you ran out of ammo.
Lure the boss inside the room.
Drag the gunfight inside the room you previously entered. Pick up the Rocket Launcher weapon and throw grenades to finish the boss.
If the boss is still alive, drag the boss inside again and pick up other weapons around the are to deal the finishing blows.
