Money (Yen) in Soul Hackers 2 is used to purchase various useful equipment in the game such as healing items, food, stat boosting consumables, accessories, and COMP upgrades. As you go through the game’s main story, try to spend time farming money so you can be well-equipped before exploring various dungeons and other areas populated by demons in the game.
Ways to Earn Money
Win battles.
Money is earned simply for winning battles against various enemies encountered throughout your playthrough. While you can earn a decent amount of coin just by focusing on main story objectives, you will want to do other activities to farm money you can spend to buy the best equipment later in the game.
Do Requests.
Requests are side missions you can access from Madam Ginko (Club Creteceous) or from Aion Orders (Soul Matrix). Clearing these optional quests rewards you with money in addition a useful items and the chance to recruit certain demons found in special areas.
Hunt Risky Enemies.
Risky Enemies are extremely powerful enemies found in various areas of the game that will yield a hefty sum of money and experience when defeated. They are significantly stronger than the regular demons you come up against in a specific dungeon. Because of this, you should hold off fighting them until you are at a high level.
