Steal Steals an item from an enemy.
  • Story: Give by Bruno during Chapter 4 at Sector 5 Slums Market.
  • Treasure: Mission 7-4-1, Mission 8-3-6
  • Steal: Gremlin
Quake Creates an earthquake around Zack to damage all enemies (does not affect flying enemies).
  • Buy: Bone Village Commerce
  • Reward: Mission 5-4-5
  • Enemy Drop: Grand Horn
  • Treasure Chest: Mission 8-6-4, Mission 9-1-5
  • Materia Fusion: Darkness (Master) + Libra/Gravity + any DMW/Electrocute (Master) + Darkness
Darkness Exchange 12.5% of Zack’s HP to attack all nearby enemies (ignores Physical Defense).
  • Reward: Mission 4-4-2, Mission 8-4-6
  • Enemy Drop: Demon, Horned Devil
  • Steal: Land Malboro

You will obviously need the Steal Command Materia to pilfer items from enemies. Quake is useful for clearing out waves of enemies quickly if you are farming dropped materials. Note that Quake will not affect flying targets so resort to Darkness to burst them down or use physical attacks instead.

Ribbon Prevents all status ailments except Death.

  • Steal: Gaea Malboro

The accessories Mog’s Amulet and Brigand’s Gloves are essential equipment when farming for materials which are often rare drops or stolen items from enemies. Equipping Ribbon gives you resistance against all status ailments, especially Stop, so you can farm even faster.
