Below are things to do first for new players in Echoes of Mana. Included are general advice on the best sections to focus on at the start of the game, recommended quests and content to do, and other useful tips.
Get the Best Characters from Rerolling
At the very beginning of the game, it is recommended to reroll until you are able to get at least two 4-star characters for your team. Try to reroll until you obtain strong 4-star characters like Sumo (Light/Sword), Duran (Earth/Sword), Riesz (Wind/Polearm), Angela (Water/Staff), or Shiloh (Dark/Sword) as these characters are currently the strongest ones available from the current regular gacha banners.
Progress through the Main Story Quests
Advancing through the game’s main quests unlocks several new features and side activities to help you on higher-level content later.

Enhance Character Stats
Increasing your characters’ stats is important as you unlock more challenging story quests in the game. While your characters will level up for clearing quests, you will need to upgrade their respective mana boards to increase maximum HP, attack, defense, and other important parameters in battle.
How to Raise Combat Power (PWR)
A character’s mana board can be enhanced using Gnome Copper, Silver, and Gold Coins found in Material Dungeons. Try to farm for these items as often as you can to bring out the full potential of characters in your team.
Farm Spirit Crystals
Spirit Crystals are arguably the most important resource you will need in the game as it lets you summon new characters from the different harvest banners. Among the best quests to farm Spirit Crystals early on are Chapter 1 and Chapter 3 on Hard difficulty. Clearing the entirety of either of these chapters will net you about 1,000 Spirit Crystals per run. Note that it is recommended to have your characters reach about 2,000 power before attempting to run these quests.
