Game Overview
The New Pokemon Snap is the latest sequel to the 1999 Nintendo 64 game of the same title. It offers a first-person experience of interacting with Pokemon and environments. The game also comes with its own photo editor. Photos can be decorated and shared through online play.
Lental Region

The Lental Region is a brand-new region where all sorts of Pokemon abound. There are plenty of habitats within the region’s islands which offer a slew of environments ranging from land, beaches, the skies, and even underwater.
Uncover the mystery of the Illumina

The Illumina consists of Pokemon and vegetation that exude sparkling aura. During your trips across the islands, you’ll be able to witness this strange phenomenon occur. Keep studying the islands to gain more understanding of the Illumina phenomenon.
Build your Photodex
Using your camera, your task as a Pokemon photographer is to study and capture magical moments as you cruise through the Lental region. Search high and low to scout for nearby Pokemon and rummage through objects such as plants and take photos. Keep looking and you might just discover the highly-sought after legendary Pokemon.
After reaching milestones, don’t forget to report your progress to Professor Mirror to assess your photos. Choose among the following photos that you took and decide the best moment to keep as you build your Photodex. You’ll get a certain amount of stars depending on your performance.
Enhance your research level

Focusing on a course provides experience that adds to your research level. Reaching higher levels can elicit new behaviors when interacting with surrounding Pokemon. As you embark on an expedition, you’ll have a chance to discover new Pokemon.
Fine tune photos

|
Photos that you take get sent to your personal album. The personal album is a separate collection from your Photodex. After finishing a course, you can opt to fine-tune your photo using one or a combination of adjustments before recording it. If you wish to decorate your photos even more, there are stickers, frames, and filters to choose from. Go to re-snap mode to start editing your photos and share them with the rest of the world with Nintendo Switch Online.
