Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the highly-anticipated remakes of the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, is set for release on November 19th, 2021. Ahead of the title’s launch, various game editions and pre-order bonuses have been announced and are available for early purchase on the game’s official website.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Retail Versions

The Retail Version is simply a physical copy of either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl. This package is for players who want to experience the game and want to save a bit of storage space on their Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite systems by playing the game using a physical game card.
Retail Version Pre-order Bonuses
Those choosing to get the Retail Version of either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl will get a Manaphy Egg and a Platinum-style player outfit as special early-purchase benefits. These can be claimed from the Mystery Gift function on February 21, 2022.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Digital Versions

The Digital Versions is a downloadable copy of either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl. This edition is for players who prefer to own the game digitally and have enough storage space on their Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite systems to play the game without the need for a physical game card.

In addition to the pre-order bonuses included in the Retail Versions, the Digital edition ships 12 Quick Balls for use in the game. This add-on will be incredibly useful for catching a variety of Pokemon encountered throughout the game.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Double Pack Retail Version
For fans of the series, the Double Pack Retail Version bundles both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl in a double game card package. Players opting for this edition will have the advantage of being able to encounter and catch all Generation 4 Pokemon, including the two legendary Pokemon Dialga (Brilliant Diamond) and Palkia (Shining Pearl).
Double Pack Retail Version Pre-order Bonuses
The Double Pack Retail Version comes with all bonuses included in the normal (single) retail versions but also throws in 200 Pokeballs for use in the game.

This Double Pack Digital version is essentially the retail edition but in downloadable form. Players will enjoy the benefit of being able to encounter and catch all Generation 4 Pokemon, as well as the two legendary Pokemon Dialga (Brilliant Diamond) and Palkia (Shining Pearl). This package requires the most amount of storage capacity on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite so checking your console’s available space beforehand is recommended.
