The Judge Function is an unlockable feature in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (Pokemon BDSP) which lets you view a Pokemon’s Individual Values (IVs). This is particularly useful for competitive online battles as players will constantly strive to get the most desirable stats for each Pokemon on their team when going against other trainers.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl - How to Get Judge Function

The Judge Function can only be acquired after you have registered your name in the Pokemon League Hall of Fame. This requires you to have defeated the Sinnoh Elite Four (Aaron, Bertha, Flint, and Lucian) and Pokemon League Champion (Cynthia), which is essentially beating the game.

Steps to get the Judge Function

1 After beating the game, head to Snowpoint City docks and sail to the Fight Area.
2 Enter the Battle Tower.
3 Talk to the Researcher on the upper right section of the Battle Tower lobby to get the Judge Function.

How to Use

The Judge Function can only be used when you are managing your Pokemon Box. Access your box and select a Pokemon whose IVs you want to view. Then, press the + button twice to see its current IVs.
