How to Get Heart Scales in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Heart Scales are a relatively rare type of item in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (Pokemon BDSP) which are used as currency for the Move Reminder’s services. As his name suggests, the Move Reminder is an NPC in Pastoria City who will help Pokemon remember moves that it has forgotten as it levels up and learns new moves. This is extremely useful when you accidentally overwrite a desirable move followed by the game auto-saving.
Where to Find Heart Scales
Digging at the Grand Underground
Heart Scales are found in various areas while exploring the Sinnoh region. While you can pick up a few of them that will likely get you by throughout the main story, you may want more. If so, you can try digging in the Grand Underground to find Heart Scales. You will also ocassioanally find Pokemon Statues, especially if you have been grabbing the sparkling digging bonuses that Diglett and Dugtrio leave behind in the underground passageways.
How to Get Rare Pokemon Statues
Catch a Wild Luvdisc
A Luvdisc encountered in the wild will sometimes have a Heart Scale when you catch them. You can also steal it from Luvdisc if you have a Pokemon in the party that can use Thief (TM46).
