How to Get a Lucky Egg in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
What is a Lucky Egg?
The Lucky Egg is a held item that increases the experience (EXP) earned by its holder in battle in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (Pokemon BDSP). While not directly stated in game, a Pokemon will get 50% more EXP when holding the item. Because of the Luck Egg’s particular usefulness item for leveling, you may want to get multiple copies of it in the game.

Where to Get a Lucky Egg
Catch Wild Chansey
Wild Chansey that appear on Route 209 and Route 210 may be holding on to Lucky Eggs once you have caught them. Try to bring as many Pokeballs as you can if you intend to farm them for Lucky Eggs. Once you have captured a Chansey, check the item it is holding from your party screen from the menu (Pokemon) or Pokemon Box (PC) and you should get a Luck Egg.
Chansey may also occasionally appear in Mr. Backlot’s Garden. If you find yourself not having a lot of luck with the wild Chanseys on Route 209 and 210, try looking for them in the garden instead.
Grand Underground
A Lucky Egg can be found to the northwest section of the Grand Underground. Head for the Icy Cave and you should spot a Pokeball (item) near the lake. Grab it to get the Lucky Egg inside.
