Bow
The bow is known as a hunter weapon but are the most common weapon in Horizon Zero Dawn. While Aloy does have a variety of weapons, the bows serve as Aloy’s main and default weapon. Often times, she uses these to bring down enemies. Depending on the rarity, the bows can use a variety of ammo. Sometimes, the ammo are either elemental or plain ammo. However, the ammo can also increase the damage output which depends per creature. While using the bows, she can also kite around the enemy to deal faster damage.
However, some of the bows cannot take in certain ammo. Certain arrows only work with certain bows. Bows also have different handling levels. When using a bow, check their handling level. The higher the handling level, the faster it fires.
When choosing among the bows, remember that there are three kinds: Hunter, Sharpshot, and the War bow. Each of these bows has a specific level of handling which can make or break a game. If you’re trying to play sniper, best use a Sharpshot Bows. They have slow firing but have heightened accuracy. If you’re into fast reloads and fast firing, use the Hunter Bows. While it does have lower attack power, it has heightened reload time. There’s always some benefit to owning three kinds of bows while running around.
Different bows also mean different levels of modification. If you want to start modifying your weapons, make sure you have the proper materials for it. Also, make sure that you’re willing to invest in the weapon. When running around in Horizon Zero Dawn, farming is quite tedious. Although, if you want to level up, you need have the right weapon on you.
