Metal Flower

The Metal Flower is a collectible in the Horizon Zero Dawn game. Once you collect ten Metal Flowers of a certain set, you can buy a reward box. There’s a reward box you can buy from Kudiv in Meridian. The Flower Collectibles Specialty Merchant is in the northern Meridian. The three boxes he sells are from three different sets of Metal Flowers.  When you find and collect the ten flowers, you can buy one reward box. For this guide, we’ll show you how to get the Metal Flower Mark 1’s.

When using this map, the numbers each represent a letter. (ex. A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, and so on and so forth.)

Metal Flower Mark 1

  • Mark 1 (A) – When looking for this metal flower, go inside the ruins that Aloy explores as a young girl. While roaming around, find a door made of stalactites before smashing it with your staff. Enter the room and you’ll find the metal flower inside.
  • Mark 1 (B) – Before heading out to the open world, this flower’s tucked away in the mountains. Head southwest of the map before making your way to the waypoint on foot. There should be a tightrope leading towards it. Cross it to grab that flower.
  • Mark 1 (C) – When looking for this one, check just outside the walls of Mother’s Embrace. Make your  way to the waypoint on the map until you reach a row of abandoned wooden houses. When you get there, investigate the hill just right behind them. Look up and you’ll find the flower.
  • Mark 1(D) – For this flower, it’s near the end point of The War-Chief’s Trail mission. Before grabbing it, take out the enemy camp at the bottom of the mountains. However, that’s not just it. After killing the enemies, look behind the camp and you’ll find the flower lying in plain sight.
  • Mark 1 (E) – Look for the middle of the marker on the map. When you spot that white marker with an “x” covering it, head slightly west and you’ll find it there.
  • Mark 1 (F) – Beyond the Metal Flower Mark 1 (C)’s location, there’s a ruin beyond it. It’s at the east on the map. Head inside the ruin to the south of the Flower Marker. While roaming through the ruins, you’ll spot a large hole in the ground. Jump inside the whole but don’t worry about the fall. There’s some water at the bottom that can catch you. When you hit the water and you’re inside, the flower’s already there. However, there’s also a little bonus. Head deeper into the cave if you want to start the side mission “Ancient Armory,” which grants you a rare set of armor when you complete it.
  • Mark 1 (G) – When looking for the G Flower, it’s rightat the center of the circle on the map. However, it’s quite well-guarded with Sawtooths. But no need to worry, there’s plenty of ground to cover around it to stay out of sight.
  • Mark 1 (H) –  For this last one, this flower is a tricky one. But no need to worry, the closest campfire is right next to the flower. However, there’s a chance you didn’t light it up yet. And if you die, you’re gonna have to walk all the way back. And for the cherry on top, there are some Glinthawks and bandits to worry about. But no need to worry, there’s a smart way to do it. Before charging in, hug the eastern side of the lake while making  your way to the waypoint. As you do so, keep out of sight of the Glinthawks. Veer away to the east to stay in the treeline to keep hidden from Tramplers and Sawtooths. When you get there, the flower’s just in the south of the center of the marker. However, you can also try to snipe them down and take out one by one. That way, you can  also grab the bonfire.
  • Mark 1 (I) – There’s no need to worry too much about this flower. It’s hiding in plain sight. Head towards the marker near the Broadhead symbol on the map. The flower’s right in the middle of a cluster of trees.
  • Mark 1 (J) – When looking for this  flower, it’s in the West of the center of the market on the map. Trek up the mountains a bit above the two patrolling  Sawtooths. You’ll find your flower there.
