Strategy

While Thunderjaw may seem daunting, it actually employs a very straightforward attack pattern. Watch out when it charges towards you, especially if you’re too close. If you choose to create a good distance between you and Thunderjaw, it will resort to using its machine guns, disc launcher or mouth laser.

When the fight begins, Thunderjaw will charge straight at you, so get ready to dodge. It will use its disc launcher to destroy any cover you’re using to hide from it. When it starts firing, run away to the side until it stops, then slide down under it and shoot its module. From there, create some good distance again between you and the beast.

Set your Bow to use Shock Arrows, then fire at Thunderjaw to paralyze it momentarily. When it stops paralyzed, aim for its disc launcher and shoot it off him. When it does, shoot it again with some Shock Arrows then run to the disc launcher and use against it and break off its armor around its Heart Core. When the Heart Core is exposed, switch to the Ropecaster and tie Thunderjaw up by going around it and shooting it. When you’ve limited its movement, aim for the Heart Core, which won’t be too hard to aim since Thunderjaw will not be moving around much. Shoot the Heart Core to incapacitate and finish it off.
