Stalkers pose a serious threat to Aloy simply because they’re hard to see until it’s too late and she’s taken some damage to her health. As the name implies, Stalkers favor an indirect approach, using their Stealth Generator component to blend into their surroundings and render themselves invisible.

Vulnerabilities
Stalkers have no Power Cell or Blaze Canisters that you can target to score a quick explosion; if you run into one that manages to stay visible long enough, the yellow markings along their backs offer the most amount of damage dealt to it. However, Stalkers are vulnerable to shock, especially their outer casing.

Strategy
The thing about Stalkers is that the easiest way to kill one is still relatively difficult. These death machines usually get the drop on Aloy thanks to their Stealth generators that bend visible light to cloak them, allowing them to hit her with their dart gun.
However, shock is Aloy’s best friend against Stalkers. Their outer casing is weak against electricity, so if you have Shock trip wires, set one up then bait them into attacking. Stalkers will get stunned when they walk into one, setting them up for Critical hits.
Another way to destroy Stalkers is to do a Silent Strike, disabling them with Shock Arrows or Shock Bombs, then shooting the eye when the Machine is down.
If you have teardown arrows, make sure to hit their Stealth Generator or Dart gun to take them out and reduce their offensive capabilities. Before rushing in for the kill, however, be careful of their Mines that they drop as their form of close-quarters combat.
The ultimate offensive weapon against Stalkers, however, is the Lightning Spear that you can get from Sylens at some point during the main adventure.
