Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s (Pokemon BDSP) flagship Legendary Pokemon Dialga and Palkia can be caught an infinite number of times through an exploit in the game.

Note that this bug may be patched in a future update. It is also worth mentioning that this method will take advantage of the auto-save feature which may affect your save data so attempt this at your own risk.

How to Turn off Autosave

Do Not Catch Dialga or Palkia during the Main Story!

First, it is required to defeat either Dialga or Palkia instead of capturing them when you first encounter the Legendary Pokemon in the main story. Afterwards, Dialga or Palkia will reappear at Mt. Coronet after you have entered the Hall of Fame at the end of the game. If you caught them during the first encounter, you will not be able to do this exploit as they will no longer appear at Mt. Coronet.

Steps to Obtain Multiple Dialga or Palkia

Below are the steps to get an infinite number of Dialgas or Palkias at Mt. Coronet after beating the game.

1	Disable auto-save and head to Mt. Coronet.
2	When you arrive in the exact area where Dialga or Palkia reappears, turn on auto-save.
3	Catch Dialga or Palkia.
4	Once you have caught Dialga or Palkia, you will return to the field (map) screen. As soon as you see the game auto-saving (indicated on the upper right of the screen), return to the Home screen and close the game.
5	Launch the game again and load your game. You will notice that Dialga or Palkia will still be standing where they were before you caught them but you will already have a Dialga or Palkia in your party. Repeat the process to get as many of the Legendary Pokemon as you want.

Some Tips for Doing the Exploit

Have space in your party before attempting the exploit.

Make sure that you have enough space in your team to accommodate Dialga or Palkia when you catch them. Drop by at a Pokemon Center if you need to offload Pokemon (making sure that your auto-save is turned off and only turning it back on when in front of Dialga or Palkia at Mt. Coronet).
