What are Bonds of Friendship in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth)?
Character events that increase your relationship with party members.
Bonds of Friendship is a new gameplay mechanic in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth) that increases your relationship with various party members throughout the main story chapters.
Bonds of Friendship events appear as special dialogue where you can freely choose between three responses. Your answers to these conversations will let you gain relationship points which contribute towards the dating scene you get at the Gold Saucer during Chapter 12: A Golden Key.
Bond of Friendship Effects
Unlocks different Skywheel dating scenes at the Gold Saucer.
When you reach a high enough level of relationship with an ally, you will unlock a special Intimate cutscene aboard the Skywheel in Chapter 12. These special dating cinematics range from romantic to even light-hearted and humorous and greatly invoke the nostalgia of the iconic section from the original Playstation 1 game.
Also affects who plays Rosa in the Loveless theater mini game.
The character who has the highest relationship with Cloud will get the part of Rosa during the Loveless theater mini game in Chapter 12. This generally does not have any effect on the difficulty getting an S rank as the mechanics and level of challenge are more or less the same across all characters playing Rosa.
Does not affect the main story.
Bonds of Friendship dialogue responses and levels do not affect the game’s main story. Because of this, simply aim to develop a relationship with any party member who you wish to spend time with at the Gold Saucer.
