What are Complete Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth)?
Materia that grants beneficial passive abilities to a character.
Complete materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are purple-colored materia that activate different beneficial passive effects in battle. These range from granting a character boosts to various parameters, improving ATB gain through certain actions, and even increasing the amount of EXP and gil obtained after defeating enemies.
Unlike support materia, complete materia do not need to be linked to other materia to apply their effects (hence the name “complete”).
Does not require MP or ATB to use.
Complete materia, like support materia, activate passive effects in battle. Because of this, support materia does not require MP or ATB to use which is not the case for magic, command, and summon materia.
Materia Level
Leveling up materia by earning AP in battle unlocks more powerful effects. Materia level, indicated by a number with a star (★) symbol, can be viewed from the game’s pause menu.
As with support materia again, more powerful versions of complete materia effects are unlocked for leveling them up. These are usually in the form of enhanced passives in battle gained from equipping the complete materia.
