How to Increase Craftsmanship Level Guide for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth)
What is Craftsmanship?
Craftsmanship allows you to craft items via the Item Transmuter. More items can be crafted as your Craftsmanship level increases. This is because some items require a certain level of Craftsmanship, and some item recipes can be unlocked by increasing your Craftsmanship level.
How to Get Transmuter EXP
Collect materials for Item Transmutation (Crafting).
Pick up the materials, mostly found on the ground in each area of the game, and gather the amount required to transmute or craft items and accessories. Aside from picking up materials, you can also get materials by defeating enemies.
However, enemies will drop items randomly, and there is no guarantee that you can get a specific item by defeating them once. With that being said, if you are hunting for a specific material, you may have to beat the enemy that drops it multiple times.
Once you have the required materials to craft items, open the main menu and select Item Transmuter to start crafting or transmuting items and earn transmuter exp.

In the demo, the only way to gain transmuter experience is to basically craft or transmute items. Crafting items will earn you transmuter exp, which will eventually lead to an increase in your Craftsmanship.
Once you have reached a higher Craftsmanship level, you will be able to craft more items or unlock new item recipes. In addition, all craftable items will be shown on the To-Do List tab, making it easier to track which items you can craft at the moment.
Benefits of Increasing the Craftsmanship Level
Obtain consumable items and accessories.
By using the Item Transmuter, you will be able to craft consumable items and accessories that you can use in battle. Consumable items can recover your HP, MP, or even cure status ailments, whereas accessories can provide positive effects that can enhance your characters’ performance in battle.
Unlock new item recipes.
As your Craftsmanship level increases, you will gain access to more advanced items, such as those that recover more HP and MP, or even accessories with greater effects. Yet, as more of these items appear, the required materials may become more difficult to obtain.
