Item Transmuter Guide for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth)
What is the Item Transmuter?
A new feature that allows players to create or craft items using certain materials. Most of the required materials can be found and picked up from the ground. Because of this feature, players will have more options to acquire consumable items and accessories without even spending their gil.
How to Craft (Transmute) Items
Open the Item Transmuter.
To access the Item Transmuter, open the Main Menu by pressing the Options button, then select the “Item Transmuter”. Once it is open, you will be able to see the items and accessories you can transmute or craft.
Collect materials for Item Transmutation.
Pick up the materials, mostly found on the ground in each area of the game, and gather the amount required to transmute or craft items, armor, and accessories. To check the items available for you to transmute, open the main menu and select the Item Transmuter. Here, you will be able to see the items and their required materials, as well as the ones that you can already transmute.

Raise the level of your Craftsmanship.
Some of the items that can be transmuted in the Item Transmuter require specific Craftsmanship. Therefore, you will have to transmute several items in order to gain Transmuter EXP and level up your Craftsmanship.
Once you have reached a certain Craftsmanship level, you will be able to transmute more items and accessories. It is highly recommended to pick up and collect materials as much as possible, since it not only allows you to craft items but also gives you Transmuter EXP if you use them to transmute items.
