Below are all post-game unlockables for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth), including all post-game rewards, new game modes, New Game Plus (NG+), collectibles, items, equipment, quests, challenges, events, and content that become available after finishing all main story chapters for the first time on any difficulty.

Hard Mode (Difficulty)

Like the previous remake games, clearing all main story chapters of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on any difficulty will unlock Hard mode. This is the game’s most challenging difficulty setting and is intended for players who wish to test their skills and mastery of the game’s various mechanics.

Below are certain changes and restrictions that take effect when playing on Hard mode.

• High-level enemies appear even at the start of the game.
• EXP and AP obtained in battle is greatly increased.
• Items cannot be used throughout the game (in and out of battle).
• New Chadley Combat Simulator challenges that reward rare items become accessible.

Of Hardy Stock Achievement (Difficulty-Related Trophy)

Players who intend to obtain all trophies (Platinum) will need to replay all story chapters again on Hard to unlock the Of Hardy Stock achievement (Silver). This means that getting 100% completion will take at least two (2) full playthroughs of each chapter of the game.

Chapter Select

The Chapter Select feature also becomes accessible after beating the game, allowing you to jump to the beginning any story section if you missed out on obtaining certain items or to revisit previous story battles, events, and locations to get 100% completion.

Play Log

Beating the game also unlocks the the Play Log feature which allows you to view completion-related progress throughout the game’s main story chapters. Play Log can be accessed under System.

Extra Settings

You also gain access to Extra Settings after finishing the main story. This additional set of customizable options such as being able to adjust Tactical Mode slowdown, enabling the collection of materials automatically while exploring the map, and even being able to choose the companion you date during the Skywheel event in Chapter 12.

Additional Combat Simulator Challenges

New Combat Simulator missions are also unlocked after beating the game and completing certain World Intel-related objectives. Among these new virtual missions include those that allow you to fight alongside Zack and Sephiroth to take on waves of powerful enemies that appear in the game’s previous chapters.

Changing Booths (Enable Alternate Outfits)

Changing Booths are also added to Chocobo Ranches found in the game’s different regions one you clear the main story for the first time. These new facilities enable characters to wear alternate outfits outside of story chapters that they are limited to during the first playthrough.
