How to Date Characters at Gold Saucer
Gold Saucer romance cutscenes are unlocked in Chapter 12 of the main story.
You can view special cutscenes with various party members at Gold Saucer during Chapter 12: A Golden Key of the main story based on how high your relationship is with them up to that point in the game.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Chapter 12: A Golden Key Walkthrough
Upon reaching Chapter 12 of the game’s main story, you will be able to go on a date with a member of your party while riding the Skywheel. This will trigger one of three possible cutscenes which are the Standard, Intimate, and All-Mutual scenes.
Types of Skywheel Scenes
Scene Type | Details | Requirements |
---|---|---|
Standard | The normal date scene that plays in Chapter 12. | Relationship level with your date must be below 50%. |
Intimate | The special “intimate” scene that plays in Chapter 12. May not always be romantic in nature as some scenes of this type are somewhat humorous or light-hearted. | Relationship level with your date must be higher than 50%. |
All-Mutual | The date scene that plays in Chapter 12. Not classified as Standard or Intimate. | Relationship level with all characters is mutual (no increase with any characters). |
As indicated in the requirements of each Skywheel scene type, the conditions of getting a specific date scene in Chapter 12 depend on a hidden numerical value.
You can only view your relationship progress with a party member only after you have cleared the main storyline (apart from an emoji that changes based on how close you are with allies). This means that there is no way to tell how likely you are to get either scene during the Skywheel date on the first playthrough.
At below 50% relationship level, you simply get the Standard cutscene at the Skywheel with your date.
How to Get Intimate Cutscene During Skywheel Date
Achieve a relationship level of higher than 50%.
To view the special Intimate cutscene in Chapter 12, you must have a relationship level of 50% with your date.
Since you are not able to track the exact level of your current bond is with characters , you should just take every opportunity to increase your relationship with any character through various activities while going through the main story.
How to Get All-Mutual Cutscene During Skywheel Date
Relationship with all characters is mutual.
A special Skywheel scene plays during Chapter 12 if you have mutual relationship levels with all allies. This scene is essentially a “date” with Cait Sith, Cid, and Vincent and is not counted as either Standard or Intimate.

Effect on the Loveless Theater Mini Game in Chapter 12
Only affects who plays Rosa in the Loveless theater mini game.
