This guide contains major story spoilers. Please read at your own risk.
Normal Endings
Hogwarts Legacy features two different normal endings that you can unlock during the main story quest The Final Repository. To view either the “good” or “bad” ending, you must answer Professor Fig with specific responses during a dialogue sequence regarding the Ancient Magic contained in the Repository.
Point-of-No-Return
You will be asked to lock in these dialogue choices just before the game’s final battle so decide carefully which normal ending you want to view before proceeding.

“Good” Ending (Choose to Contain the Ancient Magic within the Repository)
The “good” ending is unlocked by choosing to contain the Ancient Magic within the Repository and keep it a secret forever. This causes Professor Fig to admire your decision and swear to be at your side when you try to seal the Ancient Magic as its chosen Keeper.
Dialogue Question | Dialogue Answer |
---|---|
“What do you intend to do with it?” | First Choice: “I intend to keep it contained here.“ |
The Keepers wanted this secret to be locked away forever. How long will you keep it? | Second Choice: “I shall keep it a secret forever.“ |
“Bad” Ending (Choose to Open the Repository)
The “bad” ending, meanwhile, can be viewed by choosing to open the Repository and free the Ancient Magic. This causes Professor Fig to become worried about your fate. He will not be at your side as you resolve to wield the Ancient Magic yourself.
Dialogue Question | Dialogue Answer |
---|---|
“What do you intend to do with it?” | Second Choice: “I intend to open it.“ |
“After everything you’ve seen? What about Isidora’s fate?” | Second Choice: “This power should not be kept from the world.“ |
Can you save Professor Fig?
Professor Fig will not survive in both endings.
Choosing either the “good” or “bad” ending will not change Professor Fig’s fate as he will ultimately not survive in both. Because of this, just choose the ending which seems better to you since you cannot do anything to save him.
Secret True Ending
The secret “True” Ending is unlocked by clearing the post-game story quests that become available after you have defeated the final boss. Note that the secret ending can be viewed regardless of the type of normal ending you chose to go with during The Final Repository main quest.
