Which House Should You Choose in Hogwarts Legacy?

House Robe

Gryffindor Robe	Slytherin Robe
Ravenclaw Robe	Hufflepuff Robe

The robe your character is given at the start of the game depends on the House you are sorted into after the Sorting Hat ceremony. This is also how you can identify students from your House as you walk around the Hogwarts castle.

House Common Room

Each Hogwarts House has a Common Room that features designs unique to each House and serves as a mini hub for its students to study, relax, or interact with other students. There are no special features that make one Common Room better than others so just choose a House with a design and atmosphere that you like the most.

It should also be noted that each Common Room is located in different parts of the Hogwarts castle. This means that the experience of navigating to and from a House Common Room will not be same for all players.

Map Chamber Achievements

The Map Chamber achievements are a set of trophies that can only be obtained by joining a specific House. This means that you cannot obtain more than one of them in a single playthrough. Because of this, you will need to create four different characters to join each of the four Houses if you want to obtain all Map Chamber trophies.

The different Map Chamber achievements so far are the only reason to play through the game at least four times using different characters to achieve 100% completion (Platinum trophy).

Character Dialogues

Lastly, the dialogue you will be able to hear when interacting with different characters is based on your chosen House. These have no major effect on gameplay and only serve to give you information on various people, creatures, and events in the Wizarding World.

Notable Non-Exclusive Features (Can be accessed regardless of House chosen)

Companion Character and Relationship Lines

The Companion character and Relationship Line that can be accessed during your playthrough does not depend on the House you chose to be sorted into. You can also befriend all Companion characters and do their quest lines without getting locked out of the others.

Because of this, it is possible to clear all side quests specific to Natsai, Sebastian, and Poppy to unlock The Avenging Gazelle, A Sallow Grave, and Beast Friends achievements in one playthrough. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any trophy related to Amit (Ravenclaw Companion) in the game.
