Hogwarts Legacy - Character Outfits

You can change the appearance of various gear pieces in Hogwarts Legacy using its “Change Appearance” (transmog) feature to personalize your character’s look in the game. This allows you to keep the stats and bonuses granted by equipment you want to wear but do not appeal to your preferences in terms of design.

Can be changed in the game menu’s Gear tab.

The Change Appearance feature can be accessed from the game’s menu under the Gear tab. This can be done any time during play.

1 Open the game menu and select the Gear tab.
2 Select a piece of gear equipped on your gear slot.
3 Press the □ button (Change Appearance) to open the transmogrify options.
4 Select a different gear appearance from those that you have unlocked in the game (Collections and Other).
5 Resume the game after applying the changes.

Gear appearance transmog does not change the gear’s stats and effects.

The gear appearance transmog feature only applies a cosmetic alteration to equipment you are already wearing. You are simply changing the “skin” of your gear to achieve your desired outfit combinations to personalize the look of your witch or wizard character.

How to Unlock Gear Appearance Transmogs

Obtained as rewards for various optional activities in the game.

Most gear appearance transmogs can be unlocked by completing Challenges, Battle Arenas, and other non-mandatory content throughout the game’s main story. Try to spend time clearing these side activities to expand your cosmetic options that you can mix and match as you like.
