What is the Dark Arts Battle Arena?
The Dark Arts Battle Arena is an optional area in Hogwarts Legacy that lets you take on waves of enemies while having access to Unforgivable Curses. Since the use of dark magic is normally forbidden throughout the Wizarding World, players can visit the Dark Arts Battle Arena to satisfy their curiosity and love for combat.
Hogwarts Legacy All Battle Arenas List and Guide
Taking part in the Dark Arts Battle Arena challenges automatically unlocks all Unforgivable Curses for you to wield in battle which you would normally have to learn by progressing through Sebastian Sallow’s Relationship Line side quests. You will lose access to these magical abilities that you have not unlocked yet upon leaving the arena.

How to Unlock
Purchase the Dark Arts Battle Arena DLC.
You can only access the Dark Arts Battle Arena by purchasing the DLC. Note that the add-on is automatically included for those who ordered the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition and Deluxe Edition.
The Dark Arts Battle Arena is located in the Forbidden Forest (North Hogwarts Region) which borders the Hogwarts School grounds.
Trophies and Achievements
Since the Dark Arts Battle Arena is only accessible via paid DLC, clearing it is not required to get the Rise to the Challenges (Silver trophy) achievement. You only need to clear the base game arenas (North Ford Bog and Feldcroft Battle Arenas).

Rewards
Going through the Dark Arts Battle Arena challenges will reward you with various cosmetic items based on how fast you clear enemy waves. More information on this will be added when they are confirmed in the game.
Unforgivable Curses (Dark Arts Spells)
Below is a list of all Unforgivable Curses (Dark Arts Spells) that become usable upon entering the Dark Arts Battle Arena.

The Dark Arts Battle Arena is exclusively available to Pre-Order DLC “Dark Arts Pack”. In this arena, you begin with all three Unforgivable Curses enabled. The battle arena is located in the Forbidden Forest.

Tips for the Dark Arts Battle Arena
Lower the game difficulty.
For an easier time clearing the Dark Arts Battle Arena, you can simply play on a lower difficulty (preferably Story) to make the enemies encountered in the arena weaker. Afterwards, switch back to your preferred difficulty when you want to continue with the main story.

Farm experience (XP) to level up fast.
You can also run the Dark Arts Battle Arena wave battles to farm experience (XP) fast. This allows you to level up faster if you get tired of doing side quests or clearing challenges to accumulate XP. This also applies to other Battle Arenas unlocked throughout the game.

It is highly recommended to unlock the different Mastery perks that vastly improve the effectiveness of Unforgivable Curses in battle.
