How to Increase Gear Slots Guide for Hogwarts Legacy
In Hogwarts Legacy, you can increase your inventory’s gear slots to carry more equipment with you at a time. This lets you avoid having to sell gear you might want to keep just because you cannot carry any more during your adventure.
Clear Merlin Trials Exploration Challenges
Additional gear slots are rewarded for clearing Merlin Trials Exploration Challenges that are found all throughout the game. Merlin Trials are essentially puzzles that require you to use specific spells to solve, so it is worth spending time unlocking different magic to be able to clear these trials.

Be sure to claim your reward from the game menu under the Challenges tab after reaching Merlin Trial Challenge milestone the additional gear slot reward is not applied automatically.
