Will Denuvo affect Hogwarts Legacy’s game experience?
Hogwarts Legacy confirmed to have Denuvo
According to the Hogwarts Legacy’s Steam page, Denuvo, a Digital Rights Management technology, will be utilized to stop game piracy.
Denuvo Explained
An anti-tamper and anti-cheat program called Denuvo is used to stop piracy and cheating. Different businesses can purchase the license to include it in their video game software.
Why is Denuvo the target of distrust?
Denuvo has already drawn criticism from many players who claim that it causes games to lag and stutter. It is not yet known if this could affect how well Hogwarts Legacy performs.
A number of games have removed Denuvo in post-launch upgrades due to reports that it negatively affects performance. Following complaints that the program was causing the game to lag, Denuvo was taken out of both Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Mass Effect: Legacy Edition and Monster Hunter: World both deleted Denuvo soon after their releases.
Epic Games version does not have Denuvo?
While Denuvo is not presently included in the listing for the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy on the Epic Games Store, this might change before the game’s official release.
