The Fifth Main Quest The Womb of the Mountain continues on Aloy’s excursion as she finds herself traversing the Chamber to locate her lost equipment. Eventually a mysterious figure appears before Aloy, and tries to intertwine Aloy’s roots to the hidden chamber’s.

Main Quest Walkthrough – The Womb of the Mountain
Objective # 1 – Search for your Focus
Begin by heading forward past the doorway then turn right through the next doorway to trigger a cutscene.
Search for your Equipment
When the cutscene ends, Outcast and Nora Brave will be added to your inventory. Continue by heading straight ahead towards the bunker door to open it. Enter the next room to find another bunker door, go through then make a left turn to find another passage decorated with candles. Make a left turn and approach the stash of equipment, retrieve them to activate another cutscene.
Follow Teersa: Talk to Teersa

After retrieving your belongings, accompany the old woman Teersa who leads you to a locked Bunker door. When the group reaches the end of the path, eventually the objective instructs you to speak to her, Talk to Teersa and another cutscene will ensue. Teersa reveals a hidden passage where she traces and attempts to explain Aloy’s origins.
Follow Teersa out of the Mountain
Stay close to Teersa as she continues to walk along the straight path. As you walk together, listen closely to Teersa as she continues to narrate the events that have unfolded in the previous chapter and reveals to you her purpose for drawing you into the chamber.
By the time you arrive outside, another cutscene will play where Teersa joins in with her companions to discuss about the earlier events, shortly after Aloy’s rite of passage to fulfill a special purpose follows. With a new purpose bestowed upon her, this grants Aloy the prerogative to reach areas beyond the borders.
Talk to Resh, the new War Chief
With Teersa’s approval, head straight ahead and follow the trail heading downwards. Pass through the small doorway guarded by the guard to arrive at the expansive area. Check the right side of the massive double doors to find Teb, speak to him for a cutscene. After some chat, Teb will be free to answer any of your inquiries later on. Once you finish, proceed to the left side to find a ladder to ascend.
Climb it then talk to the War Chief Resh who’s idling next to a Seasoned Nora Brave to trigger a long cutscene.
Entering Settlement: Mother’s Watch
Kill the “Demon” and Corrupted Machines
The chat has been interrupted, join the fray and be prepared to take out some atrocious machines who will breach the Tribal Gates. Maintain some distance by performing several Quick Rolls before placing a shot to avoid any rabid machines from getting too close as you prepare to shoot. Execute the Hunter’s Reflexes and Concentration Skills to provide ample time to take them out. Provide assistance to the Nora Braves, you may deliver some melee attacks if you see a lone machine is busy targeting one of the villagers to save up on ammunition.
Be wary of the “Demon” as it can deal some low sweeps, so take caution when you perform some melee on its legs. Get back by executing several Quick Rolls, then heal if need be. Place some shots to the apex which looks like a huge protruding bottle cap, eventually it will begin to glow a deep purple. Shoot it with Hunter’s Reflexes or Concentration for a bull’s eye then it will soon fall.
Loot the destroyed machine for some resources and a cutscene will play.

For the Womb Mountain power cell if you fast travel to campfire the gate to the mountain will be closed, run out the village, down the trail, cross the bridge then turn around, it will be open.

What about the power cell in the mountain? How do you get it if you missed it the first time through? There’s a guard at the for who won’t let me past.
Hi Jodii, thanks for pointing that out. I have now put the respective link regarding the power cell in the article. I’m not sure if you can still get it although I think you can Free Roam around these areas after finishing the Story.
