Can only craft using a Workbench
Players can only craft items by the workbench that can be found in the lodge and has different types of workbench, which are the following:
- Weapon Workbench
- Spacesuit Workbench
- Pharmaceutical Lab
- Cooking Station
- Outpost Development
Workbench Location
There are a lot of workbenches available to use inside Jemison’s lodge, Jemison is the third planet in the Alpha Centauri system. You need to go to the lodge and follow the pathway on the right side towards the basement to reach the room with a workbench.

Requires crafting materials and recipes
Every item for crafting requires a recipe and materials.
The recipes can be acquired from research and skills which can be obtained when you reach a certain skill level and then the materials can be gathered during exploration.

Weapon Workbench
Unlocks crafting recipes for weapon mods that can be used to modify your weapon’s stats. When you gain access to the weapon workbench, you can pick a weapon from your inventory that you wish to upgrade and you can also equip some additional attachment, such as sights and stocks. It requires materials such as iron or nickel to strengthen your desired weapon.
Spacesuit Workbench
When you gain access to the spacesuit workbench, you can pick a spacesuit from your inventory that you wish to upgrade and it can increase the defense stats and damage resistance. It requires materials such as textiles or cosmetics to strengthen your desired spacesuit.
Pharmaceutical Lab
Unlocks crafting recipes for aiding items and items that cure status ailments. The research lab workbench requires recipes and materials to craft items that enhances your stats and skills.
Starfield Pharmacology Research Recipes List
Cooking Station
Unlocks crafting recipes for consumable items and items that increase stats. The cooking station workbench also requires recipes and ingredients to cook meals that helps with your recovery.
Outpost Base Development
The outpost building requires recipes and resources to provide extra support on your shelter, it also needs skills and materials for building research projects.
