Riju of Gerudo Town Walkthrough Summary
- Talk to Riju.
- Shoot the target with a bow.
- Defeat the Gibdo at Kara Kara Bazaar.
- Return to Gerudo Town.
- Prepare for battle.
- Destroy the 3 nests while protecting Riju.
- Head to the building opposite the throne.
- Turn the lever to reflect the light.
- Solve the third pillar puzzle.
- Talk to Riju in the center of the triangle of light.
- Reduce Queen Gibdo’s HP to half.
- Clear the Lightning Temple.
Defeat the Gibdo at Kara Kara Bazaar.
After finishing the tutorial on Riju’s lightning ability, head to Kara Kara Bazaar.
The Gibdo can be defeated in one hit using lightning. If you do not destroy the nest, the enemies will continue to spawn indefinitely so be sure to take it down.
After the incident at Kara Kara Bazaar is over, go back to Gerudo Town and talk to Riju.
Prepare for battle.
Go to the courtyard and combine the equipment and materials in the treasure chest to create an elemental weapon.
Gibdo are weak to fire and thunder so try to fuse materials with those attributes.
You can also build a barricade at one of the east, north, or west gates to slow down the advance of the enemy.
Destroy 3 nests while protecting Riju.
After the preparations are complete, talk to Riju to start the siege battle.
There are nests in the east, north, and west. Destroying these 3 nests to clear the battle.
Look at the map to see where the attacks are most intense and head to their defense.
Head to the building opposite the throne.
After talking to Riju and examining the mural, head to the building on the other side of the throne.
Destroy the cracked floor to reveal light and head towards it.
Turn the lever to reflect the light.
Head for the light to find a pillar and a lever nearby.
Ride the updraft and head for the lever.
If you keep turning the lever, the pillar will rise. If you raise the pillar to a certain height, the light will hit the mirror and reflect it to show your next destination.
Solve the second pillar puzzle.
Attach sticks to the Hover Stone.
Go to the destination shown by the reflected light to find the second pillar.
Destroy the cracked floor to find a Hover Stone and sticks under the floor.
Attach 2 sticks to the Hover Stone.
Lift the Hover Stone.
Attack the Hover Stone to activate it and bring it to the side of the meshed floor with Ultrahand.
Once it floats, use Ascend on the mesh floor. Lift the Hover Stone even higher.
Go to the top of the pillar and repair the lever.
Go down once and use Ascend toward the top of the pillar
Pick up the Hover Stone with Ultrahand. Then, get the stick and attach it to the switch before turning it.
Talk to Riju at the center of the triangle of light.
A stone monument will appear in the center of the triangle of light.
After talking to Riju, shoot a lightning arrow to make the Lightning Temple appear.
Reduce Queen Gibdo’s HP to half.
Queen Gibdo will appear when you destroy the nest at the Lightning Temple.
Hitting an arrow imbued with the power of lightning will deal damage to Queen Gibdo.
The battle will end when Queen Gibdo’s HP is reduced to half. You can battle her safely by staying away and lowering her HP with lightning or using Yunobo’s rush attack.
Clear the Lightning Temple.
Blow away the sand with a Korok Fan.
After defeating Queen Gibdo, go inside and pick up the Korok Fan. Use it to blow the sand away to reveal a switch.
Use Recall on the flaming sphere.
A flaming sphere will roll past the area.
Use Recall to make it go back.
Reflect light with the mirror to open the door.
Look up at the sandbox with a fan. Then, lift the mirror in the sand with Ultrahand and shine the light on the top of the closed door to open it.
Examine the warp device.
Examine the warp device in the next area (Room of Ascension).
First Battery
Using Ultrahand, move the block in the northeast section of the Room of Ascension and go inside to find the first battery.
Fire an arrow imbued with Riju’s lightning power to activate the battery.
Second Battery
There is a block that is leaking an updraft to the south of the Room of Ascension, so move the block and ride the updraft to the 5F using the Paraglider .
Paraglide next to where you can see the iron grid.
Light will appear when you remove the block in front of the fan.
Adjust the movement of the fan with Recall so that light can pass through.
The stone statue on the opposite side will move and a switch will appear, so use the updraft to go up and press the switch.
Press the switch and a passage will appear.
If you rush recklessly through the passage, you will be crushed. Instead, move along by placing the block between the walls.
There is a switch at the end of the wall. When you step on it, the wall will not move.
The ceiling will come down afterwards.
There are two blocks nearby. Proceed through the area without being crushed by combining the blocks with Ultrahand.
There is a crack in the ground, so jump down.
Stick the stake that is stuck in the ground into the wall by timing the moment when the wall device can be seen.
Mirrors buried in the sand reflect light onto the device.
Go up and use the mirror to illuminate the device in the back.
Apply power to the battery with Riju’s help.
Third Battery
Move to the 5F of the Lightning Temple via the updraft.
Move the stone statue hit by the light to reflect it.
Move the stone statue ahead of the light to reflect it.
Step on the switch in front of the stone statue and a passage will appear.
A Construct on a Hover Stone will fall when you shoot the Hover Stone with a bow.
There is also a Gibdo’s Nest that you can destroy using Riju’s lightning power.
Attach the plate + balloon + mirror and place it on the pillar of light.
Light a nearby torch and climb onto the board to raise it up and illuminate the device.
When you shine light on the device, the third battery will appear. Activate using Riju’s power.
Fourth Battery
Use the updraft to return to the 5F. Then, reflect the light emitted from the lighting room on the stone statue in the back instead of the front.
Reflect even more light and illuminate the wall installation.
Cling to the pillar near the device with the updraft and climb up.
When you press the switch, a passage will appear. Go inside and glide down using the Paraglider to find the fourth battery.
The pillars of fire can be disabled by using Sidon’s power.
Press the nearby switch to join up with Riju.
A boss battle will occur after you examine the device.
Examine the device to gain access to the boss room.
If you destroy the large Gibdo nest in the boss room, another battle against Queen Gibdo will begin.
Queen Gibdo
- Peel off the Queen Gibdo’s armor with the help of Riju.
- Run sideways to avoid the tornado and deal with beams and rushes by guarding.
- Do not approach the boss until it is downed and greatly damaged using Riju and Yunobo’s attacks.
- When the boss’ HP is halved, some Gibdo nests will appear.
- Destroy the Gibdo nests quickly and make a pillar of light
appear.
