Yunobo of Goron City Walkthrough Summary

  1. Go to the Yunobo Headquarters
  2. Talk to the two Goron kids at the entrance.
  3. Battle with Yunobo.
  4. Instruct Yunobo to break the rock.
  5. Head to Death Mountain.
  6. Battle with Moragia (Boss).
  7. Descend into the pit of Death Mountain.
  8. Examine the lightroots to light up the surroundings.
  9. Head to the Fire Temple.
  10. Clear the Fire Temple.

Fire resistance is essential when going to Yunobo Headquarters.

You can buy the cheapest fireproof equipment in Goron City which is the Fireproof Stone Armor.

If you do not have enough rupees, sell the ores that can be offloaded at high prices.

Battle with Yunobo

You need to battle Yunbo who has lost his sanity.

Dodge Yunobo’s rolling attack and he will faint. Then, attack his back to deal damage.

After dealing damage to Yunobo 3 times, the battle will end.

Instruct Yunobo to break the rock.

Press the A button when Yunobo is nearby. Face the direction you want him to roll, and press A again to charge and destroy the rock.

Head to Death Mountain

Head to Death Mountain with Yunobo once he regains his senses.

Take the cart from the platform south of Yunobo Headquarters to Death Mountain.

When you arrive at Death Mountain West Tunnel, change trains and head for the summit of Death Mountain.

Battle with Moragia (Boss)

When you reach the top, talk to Yunobo and prepare to battle Moragia (Boss).

Moragia Boss Battle Tips
  • Get on the nearby wing.
  • Aim Yunobo’s assault on Moragia’s head.
  • The battle ends when the three heads are destroyed.

Head to the next destination to the west.

Investigate the lightroots and turn on the light. Then, head to the next destination marked west.

Use Yunobo to destroy the rocks blocking the path.

Assemble the unfinished cart and attach red seeds. This will turn it into a cart that illuminates the surroundings.

Be careful as the tires will not go straight if they are all facing the same direction.

Clear the Fire Temple.

Examine the device.

Arrive at Death Mountain and examine the device nearby after watching the event.

The Fire Temple will be registered on the map, allowing you to warp to it.

The First Lock

After examining the device, go to the south side of the map. Jump over the scaffolding and over the magma. Then, use the nearby water cannon to create a scaffolding and proceed past the magma again.

Place the minecart on the rail and start it. Afterwards, hit the branching device in the middle of the rail with Yunobo or hit the arrow to switch the rail.

After getting off the cart, go left. You can take out the Fire Like ahead if you attack the inside of the mouth after dodging the flame ball.

Make a passage to the huge rock. Destroy the huge rock with Yunobo’s charge and hit the gong inside using Yunobo again to open the first lock.

The Second Lock

Go back the way you came and get on the minecart. Break the rocks blocking the rails until you reach the dead end.

When you reach the dead end, hit the device that changes the cart’s direction and get back into it.

Attack the fork to proceed to the next area.

Cross the suspended wooden bridge and attack the rail fork. Then,  board the minecart again.

Use the water cannon to create a foothold. Jump over the lava and then have Yunobo charge into the second gong to unlock the second lock.

The Third Lock

Attack the rail branching device with a bow (or other means) to raise the rail to the upper floor. Get on the minecart and proceed to the 3rd floor of the Fire Temple.

Set the minecart on the rail where it is cut off in the middle of the map southwest.

Grab the rocket placed where the Construct was with Ultrahand.

Attach the rocket to the front of the minecart and jump over the broken rail.

Destroy the huge rock in front of the unconnected suspended wooden bridge using Yunobo’s charge.

Once the rock is destroyed, a Balloon Zonai Device will drop. Pick it up and proceed ahead.

When you go inside the next area, you will find an iron plate. Set the balloon on it, and use a Flame Emitter to heat it (making it rise).

When you reach the 5F of the Fire Temple, you will find the third gong.

The Fourth Lock

After clearing the third lock, use the Paraglider and fly toward the central building of the 4F.

There is a treasure chest there with Ruby inside.

After opening the treasure chest, head to the north side of the map.

Walk along the wall while being careful not to fall.

When you arrive at the minecart platform, ride the cart and move to the building in the northeast of the map.

When the cart reaches the dead end, jump off the wooden bridge and move to the 4th floor.

Attack the rail fork to lower the rail, then board the minecart and proceed to the northernmost building.

Destroy the rock blocking the water discharge column with Yunobo’s charge.

Connect the plates created from magma to create a path to the gong. Then, let Yunbo attack the gong to release the fourth lock.

Fifth Lock

After unlocking the fourth lock, turn around and reuse the path you made earlier to set up a path to the giant rock.

Let Yunobo charge and destroy the rock. Then, go down to find the final gong.

The treasure chest contains the Zonanium Greatsword. You can Fuse it with Captain Construct’s Head (Medium) to increase its attack power to 30.

Since the boss battle after this area has high HP, try using the Fused Zonanium Greatsword against it.

Activate the device to trigger a boss battle.

Return to the central area and examine the device to enter the boss room in the back.

When Yunobo attacks the wall and the rock on the ceiling breaks, the battle with the boss Marbled Gohma will begin.

Marbled Gohma Boss Battle Tips
  • Have Yunobo hit the boss’ legs to destroy them.
  • Once you destroy the two legs, the boss will fall down.
  • Once Marbled Gohma goes down, you will be able to ride on its body and attack its eye. Be sure to attack the boss when it stock to the ceiling as well.
