If your Stamina Gauge is not enough, you will be forced off of the Light Dragon’s head (where the Master Sword is stuck on), preventing you from pulling out the Master Sword.

In Tears of the Kingdom, you must give priority to strengthening your Stamina so that the gauge will be at least two wheels in total (strengthened for one additional lap).

If you are unsure about which stats to upgrade, are not good at action games, or just want to play the game with as little difficulty as possible, focus on raising your stats so that your Stamina is at least two wheels.

Note that if you only focus on upgrading your Stamina, you may have a hard time during boss battles, so it is recommended to increase your Hearts once you reach the required Stamina to pull out the Master Sword.

Note that items that temporarily increases your maximum Stamina will still not allow you to pull out the Master Sword. This means that you will need 2 wheels of base Stamina to get the weapon.

As mentioned, not having the required amount of Stamina gauge will cause the Light Dragon to throw you off its head.

No need to free up space in your pouch.

You do not need to clear space in your pouch to get the Master Sword.
