Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for HoloCure (Version 0.5)

How can you play HoloCure?

You can download it on the HoloCure Official Website. Then, unzip the file.

Is there a Japanese version?

HoloCure supports both English and Japanese languages. You can change the language in the game from the settings menu.

What are the recommended specs to play HoloCure?

There are no recommended specs shown in the HoloCure official website.

If the game seems so slow when you try to play it, you may want to uncheck Damage Numbers and Visual Effects from Settings>Graphic Settings menu.

What are Special Attacks? How do you use them?

Special Attacks are moves unique to each characters. When the gauge is full, you can activate a Special Attack  with the X key by default. To unlock these special moves, you need to purchase them from the shop for 500 coins.

Is there anything I need to do before updating?

29 June 2022 Update(Ver 0.3)

It is specified in the official website to overwrite the file downloaded from the official site to the previous version folder. Since save data and settings information are stored in separate files, the previous version save and settings will be carried over.

9 September 2022 Update(Ver 0.4)

It is now possible to download and overwrite the previous file on the official website. Also, by downloading the newly added launcher, next time you will not have to download the file again.

Enter key does not work on the golden anvil.

In the default setting, Z: Confirm and X: Cancel.

Max HP was set to 1 and cannot be reverted to normal.

In the shop, refund “Hardcore” to return it to normal.

Changed the key settings and could not undo it.

Please try the following steps:

1. If there is a problem with the saved file or settings, navigate to folder  → Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\HoloCure
2. Delete “settings.json” and then start your game again.
3. Check if the key setting is back to normal (note that other settings will also be reverted to default).

Note 1: Deleting “settings.json” will only reset your game settings. You will not lose any save progress.

Note 2: You can move directly to the file by entering “%localappdata%\HoloCure” in the address bar.

I cannot view the rankings.

As of 20 September 2022, Rankings are currently not available.

It seems that there are too many players and in-game processing cannot keep up so the operation of the server for ranking has currently been halted.

There are plans to address this in future updates.

I do not know the mechanics of the Character Gacha.

The draw rate is completely random. There are 5 MYTH characters at the start of the game, 6 from COUNCIL+HOPE, 4 from GAMERS, and 5 from JP GEN 0, so the probability is not as strict compared to other social gacha games. Also, in the Version 0.4 update (September 9, 2022), Gambler’s Tears were added. If a character you want did not appear after a certain number of times from the gacha, you will be able to select your favorite character by using 7 Gambler’s Tears.

What is the maximum G Rank?

There is currently no maximum G Rank. A 1% to 20% increase in stats is applied for each character duplicates you get from the gacha. Stat increase effects are applied up to G Rank 21. Above it,  there are no more stat bonuses.

I want to play as JP Hololive members as soon as possible.

JP Gen 0 and Gamers characters were added in the Version 0.4 update.

When many fans and YAGOO spawn in the final stage and PC performance slows.

Hide the Damage Numbers in the Settings>Graphic Settings menu. Doing this will make your game run smoother.
