Item Story Origins and Background for HoloCure

HoloCure features unique items that were mostly based on the characters’ stories and their props, making it interesting how these items came to be. Below is a list of the items and their origins.

Item Origins

Item Name	Origins
Sake	Sake held by Yukihana Lamy, often shown with a sake bottle. She also has her own sake line.
Body Pillow	The image on the body pillow seems to be of Motoaki Tanigo, the CEO and founder of COVER Corp., also known by his fans and colleagues as “YAGOO”.
Limiter	A spiral-shaped head gear that Tsukumo Sana wears. According to her, she uses it to shrink down her size.
Credit Card	This item is a reference to Matsuri and Suisei’s failure to get a credit card. Also a reference to fans donating too much money.
Injection Type Asacoco	This item is based on the product commercial where Coco would sell Asacoco in a drug form. As projected in the commercial, the product was invented so that viewers could directly inject the show in them, in case they miss the stream.
Knightly Milk	Shirogane Noel’s milk. An original package was launched in partnership with “Milk Shochu Ranch no Yume” produced by Yamatoichi Brewery.
Halu	“Halu” in Indonesian slang is taken from the Indonesian word “halusinasi” which in english means “hallucination”. This term is usually used to refer to delusions especially when fans claiming that a particular talent is their wife. This term was introduced by Pavolia Reine in one of her Indonesian Class stream, only for that term to be used on her.
Face Mask	The item could be a reference to Yukihana Lamy  and Nekomata Okayu because they both wear face masks.
Nurse’s Horn	Previously named “Succubus’ Horn”. Choco/Choco-sensei is frequently misidentified as a succubus because of her design. In consideration of websites’ rules, the name was changed to “Nurse’s Horn” to avoid getting banned.
Plushie	A stuffed toy of the CEO and Founder of COVER Corp., also known by his fans and colleagues as “YAGOO”.
Full Meal	Hamburger, fries and drinks from a fast food restaurant. It falls from the sky.
Piki Piki Piman	This item is a reference to Inugami Korone. She would put a green pepper in a coffee cup, as indicated in the image of the item. Korone uses Piki Piki Piman Time to ease her viewers and herself from frustration in playing difficult retro games. Piki Piki means Irritated and Piman means Pepper.
Membership	This item refers to the Vtubers Subscription in which members pay a monthly fee to gain perks, badges and to support the streamers.
Headphones	Mano Aloe’s headphones, a character who wears headphones with a star decoration on her neck.
Gorilla’s Paw	This item is a reference to Amane Kanata. Because of her 50kg grip strength, people compared her strength to a gorilla.
Chicken’s Feather	Feathers from Kiara Takanashi, who is referred as a chicken rather than a phoenix.
Uber Sheep	This item is a reference to Tsunomaki Watame’s food delivery service in Minecraft.
Energy Drink	This item is a reference to E-chan’s favorite drink.
Idol Costume	Based on the game’s image of the item, the dress was worn by Tokino Sora during the first HoloFes.
Stolen Piggy Bank	This item is a reference about an incident that happened when HoloLive 1st gen members used to live together. Risu found Moona’s piggy bank and counted its amount live on stream.
Just Bandage	This item refers to Natsuiro Matsuri‘s short story, in which she said that she went to school wearing band aids instead of an undergarment.
Study Glasses	A swirly glasses that Inugami Korone wears as a costume. Also worn by Aki Rosenthal.
GWS Pill	“GWS” in short for “Get Well Soon”. This item is a reference to Pavolia Reine who usually responds using that phrase to her viewers.
Breastplate	This item refers to Shirogane Noel’s outfit.
Super Chatto Time!	A meme from Kiryu Coco’s reddit meme review, use by her viewers to tease her.
Kusogaki Shackles	This item is a reference to La+ Darkness, the shackles was used to keep her powers under control.
Blacksmith’s Gear	This item is a reference to Kaela Kovalskia, a character with a backstory of being a blacksmith. The item icon shows her red hair bow.
Devil Hat	This item is a reference to Bibi, the demon companion of Tokoyami Towa. Bibi can be seen in Tokoyami Towa’s signature hat.
Hope Soda	The item is a reference to IRyS whose favorite drink is soda. This soda prop was introduced in IRyS new room background. Hope Soda is a key item in the fan-made game “Delivering Hope” where IRyS is the main character.
Focus Shades	Focus Shades refers to the eyewear worn by Takane Lui, a member of Hololive Japan’s 6th Generation HoloX, and also refers to the eyewear worn by Kamina from the famous anime “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann”.
Candy Kingdom Sweets	Candy Kingdom Sweets refers to Himemori Luna, a member of Hololive Japan’s 4th Generation and a princess from the Candy Kingdom.
Ninja Headband	Ninja Headband refers to the outfit worn by Kureiji Ollie, a ninja outfit paired with a forehead protector that was popularized by the anime “Naruto”.
Researcher’s Coat	The Researcher’s Coat is a white and pink lab coat that refers to Hakui Koyori’s default outfit.
Beetle	Beetle refers to Momosuzu Nene, a member of Hololive Japan’s 5th Generation who is known to be a collector and breeder of different beetles.
