Doom Eternal to Launch on November 22
Doom Eternal, the sequel to the 2016 first-person shooter, is set for release on November 22 this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. This was confirmed in the game’s latest trailer revealed during Bethesda’s E3 2019 press conference today. The video also includes a preview of the game’s storyline and new enemies players will encounter.
A titanic figure appeared towards the end of the video, possibly one of the game’s bosses or even the Doomslayer himself.
Players will once again fight through hordes of abominations using a variety of weapons, among them being the new Phobos Sword which first appeared in the 2018 gameplay demo.
Doom Eternal will also introduce Battlemode, a multiplayer mode that pits two player-controlled creatures against a player Doomslayer with a full loadout of weapons. This 2-versus-1 mode, according to the trailer, is intended to be a death match of “strategy versus skill”.
