Different Games and Updates Announced by Microsoft Xbox

Here is a breakdown of the different games and game updates showcased by Microsoft during their E3 2019 presentation.

The Outer Worlds

Bleeding Edge

Bleeding Edge is a 5v5 multiplayer melee action game made by Ninja Theory. The game features over-the-top characters with a unique set of weapons and skills. The release date for the game is not yet announced.

Ori and The Will o’ the Wisps

Blair Witch

Bloober Team, the studio behind Layers of Fear and Observer, announced their next horror game based on 90’s cult-classic The Blair Witch Project. The game will be available on August 30th both for Xbox One and PC.

Cyberpunk 2077

A new cinematic and gameplay trailer was shown for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. The cinematic introduced the game’s main character, V, as well as Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand, an ally to the main character. The sci-fi action RPG made by the studio behind the Witcher game series will become available on April 16, 2020.

Battle Toads

Previously announced at E3 2018, Battletoads was announced for release sometime this year. The game has three-player co-op with 4K 2.5D hand-drawn graphics. The game will be available soon on PC and Xbox One.

RPG Time: The Legend of Wright

Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition

Classic real-time strategy game Age of Empires II is getting a remaster. The game will have updated 4K graphics, remastered sound, and a smoother UI. It will also have a new expansion called “The Last Khans.”
The game will be available both for PC and Xbox One.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Previously teased as Project Z by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a single-player game that will let players take control of Kakarot, otherwise known as Goku. Players will be able to experience his narrative, written and drawn by Akira Toriyama.

Twelve Minutes

Twelve Minutes is a psychological thriller game with a top-down, minimalist perspective. The game’s story is about a man trapped in a time loop.

The release date for the game is yet to be announced, but it will be available on both Xbox One and PC in 2020.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is a popular MMO in Japan. It is a free to play, massively multiplayer online role-playing game with cross-play features between Xbox One and PC. Phantasy Star Online 2 will be released in Spring 2020.

CrossfireX

CrossfireX is a game adapted from a popular Asian first-person shooter called Crossfire. The new edition will feature more tactical combat, vehicular battles, and underwater duels. The game is scheduled for release next year.

Tales of Arise

The “Tales of” series is a popular series of JRPGs from Bandai Namco. Its newest title, Tales of Arise, was unveiled and featured all new characters indicating that this will not be a sequel to any previous Tales titles. Tales of Arise is scheduled for a 2020 release.

Borderlands 3

Previously announced at PAX East 2019, Borderlands 3 will become available for purchase on September 13, 2019. Also, a new campaign DLC for Borderlands 2 was announced called “Commander Lilith & The Flight For Sanctuary,” which is a prequel storyline for the loot-driven co-op FPS.

Elden Ring

Elden Ring is a new fantasy action-RPG game that is currently in development by FromSoftware. It is being made in collaboration with A Song of Ice and Fire author George RR Martin. The game will feature an open-world, making itself unique from other recent FromSoftware titles.

Halo Infinite

Lastly, a cinematic trailer for Halo Infinite was shown. It was announced that it is being developed for Project Scarlett and its target launch date is within 2020.
