News SG - Final Fantasy VII Remake Release Set on March 3, 2020

The Final Fantasy VII remake is scheduled to come out on March 3, 2020 as confirmed in the game's latest trailer. New footage of custscenes and gameplay were also included in the video.

The latest trailer for Square Enix’s highly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII remake reveals more cutscenes and combat footage during the early parts of the story. The game’s official release date is March 3, 2020.

New footage of characters can be seen at the start of the trailer, most notably the modern character renders of Heidegger and who is presumably President Shinra at the Shinra headquarters. Other story cutscenes include the AVALANCHE team’s bombing mission and Cloud and Aerith in Midgar.

New combat commands of Punisher Mode and Overcharge for Cloud and Barrett respectively were also showcased. These were shown while the duo battled the newly-designed Guard Scorpion boss inside the Mako reactor.

Square Enix has also released an official poster with the game’s launch date on the company’s press center website.

More information about the game is expected to revealed during Square Enix’s E3 2019 press conference on June 10 at 6:00 PM (GMT-7).
