A New Tales Game in 2020
Bandai Namco’s popular Tales series has a new game coming in 2020 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Titled Tales of Arise, it features never-before-seen characters which indicates that this will not be a sequel to any Tales titles.
Tales of Arise’s story is set in two worlds, Rena and Dahna. The smaller planet Dahna is fighting for their freedom from Rena, which has ruled over them for 300 years. Caught in the middle of this conflict are two people who must find a way to end the war and bring peace to their worlds.

As seen in the trailer, these two people serve as the protagonists in Tales of Arise. One is a masked man with white hair and a flaming sword, while the other is a gun-wielding woman wearing an intricate dress with pieces of armor.
Also shown in the trailer are several gameplay clips where the protagonists unleash special attacks against enemies. The most visually stunning part of the trailer is the battle between the protagonists and a gigantic monster who is larger than any enemy in past Tales games.
Expect more Tales of Arise reveals from Bandai Namco as we get closer to 2020.
