Prologue

Five years after the events of The Last of Us, pandemic survivors Joel and Ellie settle down to live a peaceful life in Jackson County, Wyoming. They join a community of other survivors who continue to fend off The Infected and other hostile elements twenty five years since the outbreak of the Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI).

Ellie, now 19 years old, begins to enjoys a relatively quiet life and befriends Dina and Jessie, two youths also living in the community of survivors. Her small measure of tranquility is shattered when a mysterious armed group raids and sets fire to the settlement. Ellie is ambushed, injured but is left alive. The tragic event sets Ellie on a course to hunt down those responsible for the attack.

Her journey leads her to confront a violent cult known as The Seraphites, as well as more Infected wandering the post-pandemic world.
