Joel

Joel served as a father figure to Ellie and is a supporting character of The Last of Us 2.

He appeared as the main protagonist of the first game. Joel met Ellie through the Fireflies and the pair had a rough start. Their views were often in conflict but eventually warmed up to each other. Due to the loss of his own daughter, Sarah, during the pandemic, it drove him to make amends by serving as a father figure to Ellie.

Years later, Joel arms himself with a revolver to look for Ellie. He finds her playing a guitar at an abandoned house in an unknown location.
