Is There Multiplayer In The Last of Us Part 2?
Single Player Only
It has been confirmed by Naughty Dog that there are no multiplayer modes in The Last of Us Part 2. The developers have stated that they decided to focus solely on a single player campaign for the game, as confirmed in an official Twitter post on September 27, 2019.

Based on the tweet, Naughty Dog does intend to put out an online experience for fans of the first game’s popular Factions mode, though as a separate project from The Last of Us Part 2. More information on the anticipated multiplayer project will be revealed in the future.
DLCs
While any DLCs have yet to be confirmed for the game, it is expected that additional content for the game will also be single player. More information of DLCs will be added when details become available.
